GLOBAL GAP PROTOCOL

Global Gap is a protocol created by a group of supermarkets and retail companies with the purpose of assuring that the fruit they commercialize fulfills standards of quality, workplace safety and health, and respect towards the environment. The result is the Good Agricultural Practices Protocol, which requires the fulfillment of these three vitally important aspects in the production management of fruit.

• Fruit Safety
• Respect for the environment
• Workplace Safety and Health

Our company got its first Global Gap certification in September 2002.

TNC CERTIFICATION

TESCO is one of the most important grocery and general merchandise retailers in the UK, where it sells approximately 30% of the fresh fruit in the market.

In 1991, TESCO developed the Nature’s Choice protocol, so that their providers could demonstrate their commitment to protecting, and whenever possible, improving the environment and people’s health. This way, TESCO guarantees their customers that the fruits and vegetables are obtained from providers whose production systems are environmentally responsible, produced in a sustainable way and by applying methods that reduce the use of materials, energy and that minimize residues.

Those who do not possess this certification cannot be TESCO providers.

Solfrut got its first TNC Certification in May 2004, and has since maintained its validity in all of its orchards.
